Above is a photo showing Martin Air Cannons being removed from service. Not only were these air cannons removed so was their Thermal Safety Shields and Nozzles. The reason for replacement was lack of performance and maintaining AMSE code on each of the many air tanks.
When first installed, these air cannons performed well. The issue was long term reliability. Dracyon believes this is a strong case of “if you take care of your air cannons then your air cannons will take care of you!”
Replacement of Martin Engineering Air Cannons has become frequent. The total is quickly approaching 200 Martin Air Cannons being removed from service and Dracyon’s Big Dog Air Cannon Cleaning System is being placed into service.
In many applications the nozzle is not replaced but in this case they were because this installation needed greater cleaning area. Instead of yesterday’s nozzles they installed todays nozzles.
